My first triathlon, after 3 months of training with Chicago Endurance Sports

Smith Mountain Lake Big Lick Triathlon, 9.22.2007

Little to no training between Chicago and this one, plus a very hilly course after training in flat Chicago. But I didn’t walk any of the 6 miles, so that was an accomplishment. Oh, and check out that swim improvement!

Who are you and why do you deserve a blog?

Doesn't everyone deserve a blog? I started this over a year ago to chronicle my triathlon training, but then I got more and more into track bike racing. So in 2008 I left all my triathlon goals unmet in order to race track, and went to Track Nationals at ADT in October. And then I left Chicago. Now my closest track is 6 hours away and I have a beautiful Don Walker track bike that sits in my basement, inquiring daily as to why it never gets ridden.
